En los animales causa HEPATITIS, aborto (ABORTO VETERINARIO) y MUERTE. En los seres humanos sus manifestaciones son variables, desde enfermedad pseudogripal hasta fiebre hemorrágica, ENCEFALITIS o CEGUERA.
